Policies

No refunds will be made except for classes that are completely cancelled and dropped from the roster by WSCC.
Credits are issued at the discretion of the Registrar before classes begin. No credits will be issued after the semester begins.

If a class for which you have registered is completely cancelled from the roster you will be notified approximately three days before the class is set to begin.

If you are registered for a class or on a waiting list please check the email account provided in the registration daily throughout the semester. You will receive emails from WSCC and directly from the Instructor with information about class preparation, class cancellations, schedule changes, etc.

We offer adult education classes for students 18 years and older. We cannot accommodate children of instructors or students. Select classes that are open to high school students 16+ years will be noted in the class description.

Evening classes are held at Strath Haven High School (exceptions noted on class listings). If the Wallingford Swarthmore School District (WSSD) is closed, e.g. for Spring Break, then SHHS is closed and evening classes will not be held on those dates.

Our emergency I.D. number is 2499 (used by TV and radio to announce cancellation of classes due to inclement weather).
Evening Classes at SHHS: WSCC follows the Wallingford-Swarthmore School District weather closure decisions. The District makes closure decisions by 5:30am and will post them on their website, wssd.org. If the district is closed, then all WSCC evening classes at SHHS are also cancelled. If evening classes are cancelled WSCC will send an e-blast and put an outgoing message on our voicemail at 610-566-5786.
Daytime Classes: Because day classes are held at different locations, decisions about weather-related cancellations for those classes will be made on a case-by-case basis. If daytime classes are cancelled, WSCC will send an e-blast, put an outgoing message on the voicemail, and attempt to contact all students in affected classes by email and/or phone.

Have the Zoom application downloaded and working on your device. Be proficient in using the Zoom application. WSCC is not responsible for troubleshooting personal technology issues.
Have a good Internet connection in your class space to ensure that your device will hold the online connection for the duration of the class.
Be in a space that is appropriate as class space — one without distractions to your classmates and the instructor. This includes having adequate space for the subject, such as space to move around during a fitness class, to work during an art class, etc.
Instructors will email the Zoom link directly from their personal email account prior to the class start (the day before or the morning of the first class). Follow all guidelines given by the instructor.
Each person attending the class must have a paid registration.
