The Fun of Mathematics

Registration opens Friday, August 28, 2026.

Explore an interesting new topic each week: “Odds are” – gambling with dice, roulette, poker and blackjack; Prime numbers; the golden mean and its role in art; self-working mathematical card tricks; Fibonacci numbers; calculations to do at home like solving the calendar; geometric designs and trigonometry, fractals and patterns; the irrationality of Pi, I, e and infinity.

Michael LeWitt earned his MD from Jefferson Medical School and practiced emergency medicine for more than 40 years. He is experienced in adult instruction and interested in making medical information accessible to all.
