FIRST AID FOR THE MEDICALLY NERVOUS

Learn about common medical emergencies, with a focus on deciding when paramedics or emergency department services are needed. Topics will include Airway/breathing/choking; Is it the heart?; Strokes, seizures & faints; Bleeding, wounds, burns; Poisons & allergies; Bones, muscles, and joints; Trauma; and Environmental problems. Note: this is not a first aid certification course.

Michael LeWitt earned his MD from Jefferson Medical School and practiced emergency medicine for more than 40 years. He is experienced in adult instruction and interested in making medical information accessible to all.
