Explore the role of the Philadelphia area in economic, political and military history during the Colonial and Revolutionary eras. Topics will include Philadelphia Quakers in the colonial economy, the Pennsylvania Commissioners for Indian Affairs during the French and Indian War, the Philadelphia Campaign of 1777, and the Cape May Navy and Egg Harbor Guards in the War for Independence. The final class will feature a display of historical artifacts from the instructor’s personal collection.
