ACTING FUNDAMENTALS FOR ADULTS

Registration opens Thursday, January 29, 2026.

In this class you’ll learn collaboration, confidence, improvisation, and will work on some scene study for a showcase of scenes of classics by various playwrights.

Instructor: Susan Wefel

Susan Wefel is a graduate of the School of Theatre at Boston University, trained at the British American Drama School in Oxford, England, and has been a 45-year member of Hedgerow Theatre in Rose Valley. She studied under Dolores Tanner, Rose Schulman, Janet Kelsey, Lou Lippa, and Penelope Reed. She has performed at Media Theatre in The Addams Family, Les Misérables, Billy Elliot, and Eleanor, the Musical. Recent roles at Hedgerow include Shirley Valentine and One Perfect Rose (Dorothy Parker). She has taught at Hedgerow Theatre and at the Park Avenue Community Center in Swarthmore.
